A 19TH CENTURY FRENCH PATINATED BRONZE AND GRIOTTE MARBLE “THREE GRACE” CLOCK BY VICTOR SIGNED VICTOR PAILLARD CIRCA 1885.
The clock is raised by a beautiful griotte marbe base with triple concave sides beneath an ormolu gallery with patinated winged cherubs at each corner.
The whole is surmounted by a magnificent patinated bronze depicting the three graces (Aglae, Euphrosyne and Thalia).
They are facing outwards while holding hands with each other, supporting a gilt bronze lidded urn.
