The clock is raised on its original shelf with a curved tapered design, beneath for most elegant gilt bronze horses supporting the elaborately scrolled ormolu feet leading along the scalloped shape front and the central mascaroon.
At the center is a one large door retaining its original glass pane with an exeptionnal pierced ormolu mount of an Apollo chariot.
The door opens to reveal the sensational ormolu clock face extremely decorative foliate designs and its original fitted enameled Roman numeral plaques, the whole is fraled by four remarkable gilt bronze maidens.
The top case is adorned with a majestic seated Minerva holding her shield and spear.
